2001: Forest Park, Courtown

Forest Park was developed on 20 acres of woodland with the objective of providing a family-orientated attraction for Courtown that would not be dependent on the weather. It centres around an extensive indoor water amenity and a residential development consisting of 46 cottages and 27 coach houses. Bennett Tarmacadam was contracted by Redmond Brothers to carry out all road surfacing works within the residential area, including the long winding avenue from the public road. This included final grade preparation using fine crushed quarry screenings, 60mm of 20mm dense base course and 40mm of 10mm dense wearing course. The project involved a total surface area of 6,150 square metres and was completed in August 2001. Please note that the above photos were taken in November 2003, approximately two years after the original work.
